To the family of John Lacy John and I were near neighbors on Main Street for many years. I first became familiar with him in reading his wonderful humorous columns in the Hartford Courant. Sometime in the late 1980s I met John in connection with a huge construction project planned on what became the Red Hill development, which was in our backyard. After we had both retired, We spent time together when I was a FISH driver and took him to many medical appointment. We both loved basketball and other sports and I became hooked on John's many stories and his dry sense of humor. I don't think there was a single encounter when we weren't both laughing with tears in our eyes. I will miss this kind and gentle man, but am left with many happy memories. Lynn Willsey
