Looking up people that were important in my life, I was sad to learn of Mr. Pagani's passing. No one else brought literature to life the way he did. No one else jumped onto a student's desk, with the student still in his seat, acting out a passage in a book. Marking "wordy" at the top of many essays I submitted, taught me to weigh each word. It's one of my favorite criticisms that I use today when I am reading someone else's paper or book. I'll say, they must not had Mr. Pagani for English. He will be fondly remembered.

Mr Pagani was one of my favorite teachers. His classes were exciting and interesting. I think my love of English started with Mr. Pagani. He will be missed.

I was lucky enough to have Mr. Pagani as a teacher, (he asked me to call him Frank last time I saw him, but that never felt right). He was an amazing man and a tough, but passionate teacher. It was in his class and with his guidance my writing career began. My life was richer for having known him. He will be missed.

I was blessed to have had Mr. Pagani for a homeroom teacher my freshman year and for English my junior year. He had a love of literature and teaching and never excepted anything but your best. He was a tough teacher but taught lasting lessons that have carried me well through the years. Rest in peace Mr. Pagani.

Mr. Pagani was my English teacher for my junior year of high school, where he co-taught the most difficult course I ever took, American Studies. A witty man of very high standards, who was not afraid to tell even the best students when their work wasn't up to snuff, he certainly caused us consternation and even some nights of fitful sleep. Beneath Mr. Pagani's strict demeanor and exacting requirements was a man who loved the English language and worked very hard to impart it on teenagers who needed to learn how to work harder. In the end, however, the quality and quantity of what Mr. Pagani taught turned me into a good writer, something that has benefitted me professionally and that I've taught to my own children. Of the many excellent teachers I had at Andrew Warde, Mr. Pagani was my choice (apologies for the passive voice!) to write my college recommendations, and I still remember how happy Mr. Pagani was for me when I was accepted to UPenn. My his memory ever be for a blessing.

Mr. Pagani was my English teacher in sophomore year at Andrew Warde in 1983-84, and he was one of the best teachers I ever had at the school. His passion, creativity and love for us as students shone through every day. He is a model for me still in my own classroom. My deepest condolences to the family...
