Carol and Family:
Pat and I are sadden by your loss. Life's road is full of turns and bumps, but when you turn around and look back you see all the smooth straightaways lined with shade trees and rest stops where all the pleasant memories repose.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Remembering Ray is remembering Carol by his side and them together. Fun at their house with Chris and Kathy.
The bright, vivid, amazing muerial brushed artwork capturing Kathy's bedroom walls. I do believe those shapes, people, colors, blue sky background, stars never left my vision--38+ years later, In my mind, Kathy was drawing her version of heaven as she saw it back then.
Fun in their garage was play -- walking on "stilts", sitting on huge bouncing balls. and jumping and racing with Chrissy, the cookouts, going horseback riding on my birthday with my Mom & Carol was traditional and bonding. Where there was Mom there was Carol. I liked that.
Those precise trimmed hedges were a landmark on 33 Primer Road, Manchester, CT. Their pool, the picnics, the green grass and dipped hill in the backyard, the kindness.
The many times Ray would come to the barn and fix something for me. There are gifts that people give you in life that remain treasured in one's heart. Over 35 years ago, Ray designed a hand-made wooden tackbox, engraved from Ray's heart that read: "L-A-U-R-I-E".
I felt so important keeping my brushes and tack neatly tucked in the pull-out trays he had affixed within the box. Everybody else had a metal, and eventually dented tackbox. I had a solid, wooden hand-crafted tackbox with a lock and my named engraved on it.
Life twists and turns, but the memories and time spent at Carol and Ray's house were gifts of kindness and love. They will never be forgotten then or now.
The more it hurts, the more special Ray Ponticelli touched your heart. And I feel for Carol, Chrissy and the entire family.
Ray doesn't want people sad for long - he wants his life celebrated. He is in Kathy's beautiful artwork of heaven and that is double power and looking over Carol and Chrissy.
The entire family touched my life back then and continues to . . .
From my heart to your hearts!
