I grew up next to Mary and her family from '64 to '76, when we moved to Birch Mountain. I see that time as my childhood. There is Ronald who, even with severe cerebral palsy, built most of the houses on Watrous Rd., at that time. I learned some good work ethic from him. Peter is the oldest son, a couple of years younger than I, Ron-my age-was my best friend, Cathy-a year younger, his sister, and Mike-I think two years younger, and Mary-who always held the family together.
I think I felt their family was more of a family to me than mine was. I was over at their house practically every day. It was also a joy when her brother David came to visit-every time I saw his Dodge Power Wagon parked on the road, I had to run over there!
I stopped over there a few years ago and left feeling pleasantly shocked! Mary and Ronald looked so good, like they hadn't aged at all since I had last seen them-many years ago-I think since '76, when my parents moved to Birch Mountain.
Seeing Mary's obituary today 11/23/14, thanks to Laura Mahon/old FB post, brought tears to my eyes, and many fond memories of those days/weeks/months/years living next to this fine, Irish/Catholic family. Memories that I still cherish almost daily, and values/mores that I have learned from them and that have helped me become the good person that I am today. The same values/mores that have helped build this nation into the great nation that it is. From hard-working, honest, good people like Mary and Ronald Maynard. May God Bless them and their children and their families, forever!!! And, Thank You!

I am sorry for your loss please accept my deepest sympathy. I hope you will find your strength and comfort in Jesus promises of the earthly resurrection(:Acts 24:15) and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will have to mourn the death of a loved one.-Revelation 21:3,4; Luke 23:43. May GOD(Psalms 83:18) grant you peace and comfort now during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.
