Obituary of Rosalie Trombley
Rosalie (Cristofaro) Trombly, 85, of Manchester, beloved wife of Richard Trombly for fifty-six years, peacefully entered into eternal life with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 17, 2012. She was born in Bristol on August 11, 1926 to the late Donato and Rose (Ignazio) Cristofaro. She was a Manchester resident for the last fifty-six years. Rosalie was a faithful member of the Gospel Hall in Manchester. Besides her devotion to God, her life's passion was being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother to her adored family. Rosalie had a large collection of cookbooks and enjoyed trying new recipes. She also spent time crocheting, enjoying tole painting and needle work. She enjoyed bringing family and friends together by hosting many cookouts. In addition, she dedicated many years to raising and caring for foster children. Her unselfish love and encouragement touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Besides her loving husband, Richard, Rosalie is survived by two caring daughters, Patricia J. Amadio and her husband David of Verga, NJ and Sandra E. Ganoe and her husband William of Vernon and her sister Margaret Cassala and her husband Michael of Bristol. She also leaves two most precious grandsons, Jacob W. Ganoe and Jason S. Trombly; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her son Richard Trombly, Jr., two sisters Angie Colangelo and Laura Quitadamo and three brothers Thomas, Vito and Dominick Cristofaro. Rosalie's family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday (2/21) at the John F. Tierney Funeral 219 West Center St. Manchester. Her family will also receive friends, at the funeral home, on Wednesday morning from 10:30 - 11:00am a funeral service will begin at 11:00. Burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery, Manchester.
