I will always remember Mrs Trombly, as all the kids called her. She was the lady who always took in more kids to love and to grow, who had an extra place at the table when a mouth needed feeding. She was wise in the Lord, a great encouragement to good works (and there was a belt nearby just to remind us that she had other encouragement, too), and a loud voice when the kickball game went late and she wanted all of the kids home. I remember Halloween and gettng comic books instead of candy (loved that!), church picnics in Elizabeth Park with lots of prizes, the evenings when she would sit with her sister/neighbor and reminisce about faith or growing up or humor of the day. Her heart was big, her smile large, and her love ever present to us kids in the neighborhood. My thoughts are with Mr. Trombly, Patty and Sandra, and the many children who passed through the doors of that home who benefited from a hug and love.
Express your sympathies with a unique floral tribute
