It is with a heavy heart that I write this message regarding the passing of one of our Kappa Psi brothers, Dr. Ed Kelly. He was our Grand Council Deputy in the late 1970's and was not only a strong advocate for the profession of pharmacy but of the values and ideals of Kappa Psi. Who could forget his jokes and good naturedness during class? His booming voice when things went amiss? A man who at one point would be laughing but also at another providing you with sound advice in a serious, sincere manner. The fond memories remain.

Peggy, from a classmate of 1977, my thoughts are with you. Dr Kelly, as a teacher, played an important role in shaping our lives as pharmacists. I recall his great sense of humor. When he asked the class "What is a paradox?" only to hear a quick response "two doctors", his reaction was fabulous and showed how well he connected with his students.

For Tom and Alison: I remember the day the your family moved onto Lookout Mtn Dr. I was so eager to babysit for (then 2 yr old) Tommy that I might have been the 1st person to knock on the door! After convincing your parents at age 11 that I was responsible enought for the job, they took me on as their sitter. I have very fond memories of those years. Your parents always made me feel like a part of the family. I loved your dad's warmth and sense of humor. I don't think I have ever actually heard the song "Plastic Jesus" on the radio, but I can still hear your dad singing it!
I am so very sorry for your loss. I feel honored to have known your dad. He was a real shining light. Warmly, Susan
