Gary, Jimmy, and Karen, I was very saddened to learn of your mom's passing today. I wish I could have been there in your time of mourning. We have so many memories of me, Gary, and your Mom and Dad from our childhood. Even though it has been a very long time since we have talked, or seen each other you and your family will always have a special part and place in my life. We are lifelong friends and brothers and I know the pain you are feeling. Your Mom always made us feel welcome and part of the family whenever we came over and she will be greatly missed. Take refuge in the Lord and His word. Matthew 5:4,4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you in these times.

It saddens my heart to know what you are going thru at this time. But know that my family will be praying for you and lifting you up to God so that He may comfort and keep you. Take comfort and joy in the words of our Lord Jesus in John Chapter 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.So know that she is new in Christ and has no pain or ailments, but is today singing and praising Him.

When our nephew Tom got married in Telluride, CO, Phyllis and I were travel buddies. What fun as we traversed the airport trying to find our flight. Phyl insisted upon getting that "travel insurance" from the vending machine, "just in case". When we had a layover in Detroit we clung to each other so not to get lost in the airport. And speaking of clinging, her nails went so deep into my arm when we took off I thought she'd break skin! My sister was not fond of flying, but it never stopped her when a good time or family function beckoned. Once in CO, we met up with brother David and his wife Joanne, and traveled across the state by car together. Many laughs and good memories. Happy to have seen Colorado for the 1st time with her and my brother.

Jimmy, Karen, Bruce, Gary and Kathy, God looked around His garden and found and empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. Your mother always knew and held dear the most most important thing in life....family. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathy's for the passing of your dear mother.

Always a sad time when a loved one passes. Sorry for all of you at this trying time. You all carry a piece of both of your parents, some more obvious than others. Your friends are here for you, now and later. Raise a glass to her for those of us that can't be with you. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss. To us Phyllis was like springtime. As soon as the weather was warm enough there she was outside tending her flowers and gardens, trimming the hedges and making the house look perfect. If Phyllis was there it was time for us to work on our yard. She was the ambassador of a new beginning. We will miss her greatly and are thankful for all the years of her being a wonderful neighbor and kind, kind person.

Jimmy, Karen & Gary it is with great sympathy and grief to say goodbye to such a wonderful woman and special person in my life as your Mom. I have such wonderful memories of childhood growing up feeling like a fourth child in your family. I always made a point to see her through the years whenever I visited home and I will miss her gentle spirit, wonderful smile and kind words until I see her again with your father in heaven.
