I was saddened to hear the passing of Barbara earlier this week . I have fond childhood memories taking a ride from Manchester to Bolton ( pre-highway 384) with my father to visit the Bolton clan - Barbara, Joyce , Aunt Margaret and Uncle Ray but of course stopping at Shady Glen on the way for ice cream. I remember the weekend cookouts and Sunday pasta dinners ( with my Aunt Margaret’s secret recipe ). Barbara and Joyce taught me how to play cards and board games during these visits ( probably were told to entertain me !), also how to play pool - they were the only relatives with a pool table - what a luxury in those days. I always enjoyed the time I spent there and have long lasting memories as if it were yesterday. Unfortunately , time does not wait for anyone and “life happens” , but at least I can still look back and say what a wonderful experience I had with Barbara and family . Rest In Peace Barbara and being reunited with Brian , Margaret and Ray and my father - who I am sure have some more hunting, mushroom picking or Bolton farm stories waiting for you .

Joyce,
My sincere condolences for the loss of your sister Barbara. Not only was she a coworker of mine for many years, but she became a wonderful friend for many more. I will always be grateful to her for introducing me to you as well, and the many memories we shared together, especially lunches, where the comedy routines began. May Barbara rest in peace, and begin her reunion with your parents and Brian.
Love,
Gary Nelson

I was very sorry to learn of Barb's passing earlier today. I have known her for several years socially, but got to know her much better in the last year or two. I loved teasing her about the little things, telling her if I were 20 years older and single then I would be chasing her all over town. She was tough as nails but melted when I brought my beagle to visit. I very much enjoyed helping her and Joyce out with little things around the house. I cannot believe she left us so suddenly, and I will certainly miss her strong presence during our frequent interactions. May she rest in peace, free from suffering, in the presence of God and in the company of those that passed before her.
