Obituary of Mary E. Sheridan

Mary E. (Sapienza) Sheridan, 93, the wife of 42 years of the late Dr. Bernard J. Sheridan died suddenly on Friday (June 10, 2005). She is survived by her beloved family, her seven children and their spouses, Paul B. Sheridan of Bolton, Patricia and Richard Shek of Hebron, Thomas and Bridget Sheridan of Rye, NH, Mary Anne and Dr. Hugo Cuadra of Wilbraham, MA, Dennis and Karen Sheridan of Bolton, Kathleen Anderson of Manchester, Julie and Greg Smith of Bolton, twenty-one grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Rosario Sapienza and his wife Roccina, her sisters Josephine Malin, Theresa Dougan, Connie Lombardo and her husband Carl, all of Manchester, Gloria Vendryes of Niagara Falls, NY; her sister-in-law Dolores Sapienza of Delaware; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and her loving caretaker Glenda Douglas. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Barry Sheridan, her sister Ann Sylvester and her brother Gerald Sapienza. Mary was a communicant and a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Maurice Church, a member of the Ladies of St. Maurice and a volunteer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Manchester Memorial Hospital. She greatly enjoyed her family, collecting antiques, making maple syrup, baking pies and playing scrabble. She also loved her farm and summering at Point O� Woods Beach. She will be dearly missed by all her knew her. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (June 14, 2005) at 9:00 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Maurice Church, Bolton, with burial in Bolton Center Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to either the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department 168 Bolton Center Rd. Bolton, CT 06043 or a charity of the donor�s choice.
