Leo was special, with a big heart, a funny sense of humor and a persevering spirit that never looked at the challenges the world threw at him as something he couldn't overcome. He freely shared in his varied interests and his ability to make friends where ever he went, his sense of life as an adventure and his unfailing belief in the goodness of people made him easy to love, hard to miss and impossible to ever forget..

I can't begin to describe the impact leo had on my life and the lives of so many. Leo was a warrior, he lived his life out loud, his brilliant mind, his love for his family and friends was immense. Leo and I were best friends for 42 years. After knowing him just a short time, he asked me if I was interested in going on a camp weekend down to Easter Seal's, Camp Hemlocks. It changed my life and forged the beginning of a 30+ year career in human service and advocacy for people living with a dissabilty. He was my mentor simply by how he lived his life. Leo was fearless and he was always game for adventure. We will honor Leo at his beloved Camp Hemlocks, 85 Jones St. Amston (Hebron) Ct. On Saturday March 16, 2019 @ 11am. We will share our stories and experiences and welcome yours as well. Please join us rain or shine.

As a long time member of Leos family and as his friend, I am saddened by his passing and the loss everyone who knew him feels. He was and always will be in my heart. I will miss his laughter, his generous spirit and the love he gave. To all his family and other friends, I am sorry from the bottom of my heart for your loss and hope you, like me, can find some comfort in the knowledge he has his place in heaven and is at peace.

Leo you instilled belief into me many years ago (2001&2002) for summers at Hemlocks where we worked together running drama and music activities. You taught me all about the technical side and we made a fantastic team. We would have hair flicking competitions and compare curls. We talked about music genres, directed a pantomime, set up a radio, did music parades, got dressed up, hosted car wash events generally had a blast every single day. Only fond memories of laughing and singing. Some of my best memories of all time include you. You were professional with a side of wit and charm and the odd inappropriate joke that had us all howling. You and your personality taught me to never ever read a book by its cover and truly understand the meaning of people coming together. Rest in Peace bro you will be missed by many but may your legacy and inspiration live on. Well done on that Xxx

Sitting on a park bench
Eying little girls with bad intent
Snots running down his nose
Greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes, hey, Aqualung
Drying in the cold sun
Watching as the frilly panties run, hey, Aqualung
Feeling like a dead duck
Spitting out pieces of his broken luck, oh, Aqualung
Sun streaking cold, an old man wandering lonely
Taking time, the only way he knows
Leg hurting bad as he bends to pick a dog end
He goes down to a bog and warms his feet
Feeling alone, the army's up the road
Salvation a la mode and a cup of tea
Aqualung, my friend, don't you start away uneasy
You poor old sod, you see it's only me
Do you still remember
December's foggy freeze
When the ice that clings on to your beard
It was screaming agony
Hey and you snatch your rattling last breaths
With deep-sea diver sounds
And the flowers bloom like
Madness in the spring
Sun streaking cold, an old man wandering lonely
Taking time, the only way he knows
Leg hurting bad as he bends to pick a dog end
He goes down to a bog and warms his feet
Feeling alone, the army's up the road
Salvation a la mode and a cup of tea
Aqualung my friend don't you start away uneasy
You poor old sod, you see it's only me
