Obituary of Marshall E Lamenzo

Marshall E. Lamenzo, 86, husband to Jean Catherine (Pasqualini), passed away suddenly at his Manchester home on Sunday July 22nd.  Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Marshall) Lamenzo. Marshall received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and stayed close to his classmates. Marshall grew up in Manchester and was active in Manchester politics and the community.   He taught in the East Windsor School System where he established the Automotive Club; many students still fondly remember those years. After teaching, he had a long career as an engineer with the Ford Motor Company, Boston District.  Marshall was an avid enthusiast of classic cars, over the years owning over fifty automobiles; he was known for his vast knowledge of them and regularly drove them, sometimes for hundreds of miles. He was a member of the National and New England Region of the Classic Car Club of America, North Atlantic Packards, and many other collector organizations.  Marshall was a member of the Historical Societies of South Windsor, East Windsor, and Manchester and was known for his treasure trove of historical information spanning the centuries. He was a collector of Lionel trains, as well as antiques, and had a great appreciation for historic architecture. His enjoyment of music and art he shared with his children, and he was a U.S. Army veteran.

Besides his wife Jean, Marshall is survived by his son Jared Lamenzo and his wife Ilona Parkansky of Brooklyn, NY; his daughter, Amy Catherine Lamenzo and her husband Bindo Brilli of the U.S. and Italy; his grandchildren Brando Brilli, Katerina Lamenzo, and Mikhail Lamenzo; his brothers, David and John Lamenzo, and his sister Claire Ann Oakley.
