I am so sorry to hear of Marshall’s passing. He was such a loving man....a perfect combination of superior intellect and humor. He always made me feel welcome and included .. and I always learned something new in every conversation.

I am so sorry for your loss of Marshall. Truly one of the most interesting people I have met. When I was younger I thought he was so serious but as I grew I enjoyed the many layers of his personality. I was beyond thrilled when he agreed to drive me on my wedding day in one of his most treasured cars. We had so much fun with people honking and waving at us and Marshall was waving, laughing and beaming. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our condolences on the passing of Marshall. Bill always enjoyed speaking with Marshall, who he found very interesting. You had a wonderful life together and were blessed with a delightful, talented daughter and son. I’m a grandmother now so I know how much you have enjoyed having grandchildren to brighten your lives. Know you are in my thoughts during your grief and that Marshall is being rewarded for a life well lived.

I am sorry for your loss. Occasionally I would meet Marshall as I traveled for the Ford Boston Regional Office throughout New England. It was always a pleasure to refresh Ford developments in the sales and service areas with him in addition to other toplcs. Marshall was always personable, knowledgeable friendly and a gentleman. I will always cherish the memories of those talks. Marshall attended our monthly Ford Luncheon Meetings in Hopkinton, Ma. and enjoyed being there with everyone. My sincerest sympathies to all the family. Marshall will always be with you because of your many memories with him. I will miss him too.

Marlborough celebrated its Bicentenial in 2003 that included a parade of biblical proportions. I was asked to find classic cars for it. I called everybody I knew and a lot of people I didn't know to ask if they'd use their cars in the parade. Old cars overheat easily. Owners don't like to do parades because at walking speed, overheating is just about guaranteed.
I didn't know him, but I found Marshall in my Cadillac - LaSalle Club member directory, and he graciously said he'd participate. His 1940 52 series LaSalle Marquette Gray Convertible Coupe was a hit with the crowd that day! I've never forgotten the car, and I've never forgotten Marshall. I don't know if I ever adequately thanked him.
I am so sorry to read of his passing.

I feel very blessed to have had Marshall as a dear and faithful friend. We met while serving in the Army together from 1956 to 1958 and had the good fortune to be stationed at a Nike Missile Base, in of all places, Marshall's hometown of Manchester, Connecticut. Having become fast friends, I grew to love the town as well as Marshall's family.
Over these 60 plus succeeding years, we have remained close friends with many long phone conversations and visits together with his lovely wife Jean and son and daughter Jared and Amy - in Connecticut, St. Louis and San Diego. My sister Shirley grew to love Marshall and his family too, and is greatly saddened by his passing.
Marshall's friendship added a profound dimension to my life and I will be forever grateful. My loss is enormous but his spirit will live on within me.
My deepest condolences to Jean, Amy and Jared.
Love,
Irvin "Irv" King
