Hello from Phil and Peg's across the street neighbors in the 1970's. So sorry to hear about the loss of Phil and Peg. They were such wonderful people, and what a great family! I'll never forget the time of the ice storm and your parents opening up their house to all of the neighborhood. What an adventure for everyone! I also remember that we had a neighborhood Christmas party shortly after we moved in, and I practiced a few simple Christmas carols on my piano for weeks with the plan of having a sing-a-long during the evening. Not knowing Phil was a great pianist, I played a couple of songs, careful not to burn through my repertoire in the first few minutes. Phil asked if he could play a little, and that was the last time I was at the piano all evening! Everyone gathered round asking him if he knew this song or that one. He'd say, "Well hum a couple of bars", and off he would go on another melody. It was so much fun, a great ice breaker for everyone, and a memory I will always cherish (and it took a lot of pressure off me). Manchester was near and dear to us, and it was the LaFond family that helped make it so. Tom, Barbara, Greg, Cathy McDonald (and post Manchester - Geoff & Elisabeth)

There is just not enough room here to express how much Phil means to us. He and Aunt Peggy were an important part of our life as we raised our children. They were always there...supporting us...laughing with us...crying with us. We cherish the memories of our times together...Christmas eves when we went to Mass together and had lasagne afterward, with Phil enjoying a martini and gloating about how it was no longer his turn to assemble the toys from Santa as Steve tried to put those toys together. So many memories. So much love. So blessed to have Phil and Peg always in our hearts.

I was a close friend of Phil and Peggy's daughter, Christine. I went to Paier College of Art with her and we were besties during those art school years. I would like to be in touch with her; can anyone out there assist me? I haven't found an open avenue to reconnect with her. Thanks, if you can help: --Emily A. (Mosey) Freiman, emilyfreiman@gmail.com
