At about 13 years old, Ron (tall), Tommy O'Neil (short) and I visited Matt Moriarty, owner of Moriarty Bros. Lincoln-Mercury Dealership. I made a pitch for sponsorship of our North Manchester YMCA basketball team. I don't think my words impressed him, but he loved the site of Ron and Tommy and called Nasiff Arms to tell them to outfit us in full uniforms. We went there and got yellow and black uniforms and jackets. We were the best-dressed team in the league, what fun!
