I am so very sorry for the loss of John, although I did not know him, i'm sure he was a very fine young man. I retired in TampaBay, Florida and was on vacation in Connecticut. It was so ironic, I was telling my daughter about this wonderful patient I had in the V.A. Hospital in RockyHill.I adored him and his lovely devoted wife Ethel ( Your Son's Grandparents ) I could not believe my eyes when I read this sad news about your son the very next day. I know John will look out for him. Things happen for a reason, although we don't know why. May God watch over you all. I am so very sorry for your loss. I just wanted you to know how honored I was to take care of Johns Grandfather. Sincerely Marge Goulette.

To all of the Scribner Family, We are so very sorry for the loss of your son, grandson and nephew Jonathan. I remember Jonathan since he was a baby over Peggy's and Ethel's and at the lake, then in recent years in middle school in the orchestra concerts and around the high school. I just can't believe this happened. He was a wonderful young man. With our heartfelt sympathy. You will all be in our prayers.

John, Cheryl, Alison and Chelsea - Words cannot describe the sorrow I feel at hearing of Jonathan's passing. I remember him as one of the kindest, most gentle boys I've ever known. He always showed such warmth and thoughtfulness to Christopher and Elizabeth at the lake...and always made them feel important. We are comforting each other with our shared memories, but I know that does little to comfort all of you. I'm so, so sorry for your loss and you will be in my thoughts and prayers always. -Katherine

Dear John and family, I heard of your loss and as any parent, can only imagine your grief. I knew John since Woodland JHS and thru EHHS. Time erases many things but not the need to reach out when you hear of something that touches your soul. My sincerest condolences to your family and may the good Lord look over you and help you in your faith.

My prayers are with you all. I will remember Jonathan always in the summers up at Crystal Pond, as my daughter Laura's, Jr. Usher in her wedding, fishing with Joe, paddling his bright yellow Kayak in the cove, and the nice conversation I had with him that warm sunny Friday afternoon when he was swimming and stopped to say hello to me. When the sun shines on the water, I know he will be there playing. Love Janet & Joe.

Dear Scribner Family, You probably don't remember us but we wanted to take a second to offer our sincere condolences. Jon played on my son's first Babe Ruth team in fall ball about three years ago. He was one of the older guys who really helped the younger ones make the transition from Little League. Jon was a great young man, who made a difference to all those he came in contact with. I wish I could say something or do something to heal the pain you are feeling right now. You're experiencing a loss that can't be described with words. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. I know heaven has a new angel who is watching out for all of those he loved.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son. My son, Daniel and Jon were friends. Daniel told me that Jon was the nicest, most kind person, who always had a smile on his face. He questioned "why did God have to take Jon away, he was one of the great ones." I wish I had an answer, I wish I could take away your pain. I can only pray for your family and know that we all will miss Jon. You will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. Live life to the fullest. Be kind and love each and every day.

John, Cheryl, Alison and Chelsea, Please accept our deepest sympathy at this very difficult time. Jon was always a bright star when we would see him at Marcy and Cody's house. He was polite and full of laughs. He had a giant smile that would light up the room. Max commented on how Jon would always run up to him at Cody's or a party and hug Max every time. He was friendly and outgoing. He was a wonderful young man and he will be missed. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. With sadness, The LaPorte/Silvia Family
