Montie, Gerald P. Jerry P. Montie, age 65, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at home in Glastonbury, CT. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of Herman W. Montie of Englewood, FL and the late Mary McConville Montie. He is survived by a daughter, Kristen Gardner of San Diego, CA. and several cousins. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1963 and was a graduate of St. Francis College in Biddeford, ME. A teacher in Glastonbury for 35 years, he taught at both Academy School and Gideon Welles School. He was a passionate golfer and reader. Biking on Cape Cod and vacationing on the coast of Maine were some of his favorite activities. As a young adolescent he began competing and winning numerous awards as an Irish Step dancer. An avid runner, Jerry ran the Manchester Road Race for over 13 years. Jerry will be sorely missed by many friends and family. An informal gathering of friends and family will be held at the John F.
