Kevin, You will be dearly missed. I remember the flight we made together to NJ. You flew the leg home at night. I always wanted to use the autopilot. You wanted to fly hands on. Now you can fly forever anyway you desire. I am sure that you will be locating that ELT for God all the time. May you rest in piece in the hands of out Lord. With sincerest love, Jeff Travers (Major, CAP)

I am sorry to learn of your family sorrow. The death of a loved one is painful. If I may, I'd like to share scripture found in your Bible that may comfort you in some way. John 6:40 reads...For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises Faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day. You see, according to this promise, we have hope.

We had the good fortune of living next door to "Mr. Kevin," as the kids always called him, for three and half years. The nicest neighbor we've ever known. Our whole family is grateful for the many kindnesses he showed us, and we will all remember him fondly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin and his family...

To The Shea Family: You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I am very sorry for your loss of Kevin. He was a blessing to have as a teacher as he was my favorite teacher when I had him for a teacher. He was really friendly, kind and caring. He was also an inspiration. He always showed his students with respect and dignity and was always there for his students when they needed him. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Kevin was a good friend of mine. Although I have not seen him for many years the last time I saw Kevin he had a big smile on his face and we chatted for a short while about all of the good times we had together years ago. I worked with Kevin at the Holiday House Convalescent home in Manchester for a few years back in the late 70's. He certainly earned the nickname of Mr. Fix it while we worked there. He taught me countless ways to fix/repair things that we were asked to maintain. He could put a smile on the older folks staying there and always had time to sit and listen to their stories. His outgoing personality was infectious at times. I look back and laugh at some of the things we did while working there. We remained good friends after we both left Holiday House and when we would see each other over the years Kevin always had a few old stories from back in the day. I am sure Kevin touched many lives and I know he will be sorely missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to the Shea family. My daughter had the opportunity to have 'Shea' as a teacher when she was at SHS and as many others have stated, he really made a difference. He always saw the strengths and potential in each student instead of their shortcomings. He was a true blessing to SHS and our community and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with Kevin's family and friends during this time. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for the last 5 years and we had many laughs together both in and out of the classroom. He worked so hard to make sure each student felt important and never turned anyone away who needed help. He will truly be missed in our hallways (and in the copy room). Rest in peace Kevin.

Captain Shea has made an incredible mark on Royal Charter Composite Squadron and Civil Air Patrol. I have had the pleasure of working side by side with the greatest educator of all time for 3 wonderful years. Captain Shea captured his class in whatever he was teaching with style, grace and class. Thank you for giving so much to the Civil Air Patrol program and loving it so much. You have enriched all of our lives more than words can say. We love you and miss you dearly, my friend!

Capt Shea was a good friend and a truly loyal Civil Air Patrol officer. Many former cadets are better members of our society due to his leadership. They are better leaders and better followers. They have gone forth into the world to make robots, land on aircraft carriers, and pursue other careers or trades with an advantage in life from his guidance. He taught cadets how to hold firm to honor and principal with an element of heart which he brought to all that he did. He taught them about respect with respect. He is one of the best friends of my life, and he will be dearly missed.

To the Shea family, Our deepest condolences on the loss of your loved one. Mr. Shea was one of my sons favorite teachers at the high school, and science will definitely not be the same without him! He always went above and beyond in helping my son, who was struggling in science and his efforts were very much appreciated, as we're his regular phone calls telling me about all the work my son WASN'T doing! : ) He will be fondly remembered and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this tough holiday season! God bless and rest in peace. Laurie and Gabe

I always admired your dedication to the students under your wing. When everyone else gave up on them, you boldly said "Challenge Accepted!" I wish I could say that I had a teacher like you, but I did not. However, you and I still had the many exchanges in the halls of the high school. I remember fondly when you had that phase when your hair grew a little beyond normal and I started calling you Disco Shea. You always laughed and said, "I'm a rocker!" You helped many of my friends grow and you remained in my memories as a cool teacher. You made an impact because I don't remember half of my teachers names anymore and I spent classes with them. All you had to do was be yourself, and that's always who you were. True to your cause and honest with the world.
