Obituary of Frank Della Rocco

Frank W. Della Rocco, 67, of Manchester passed away on January 22, 2010 after a long courageous battle with prostate cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-one years Emilie (Botti) Della Rocco. He was born in Hartford the son of Frank and Mary (Farnsworth) Della Rocco on January 7, 1943. He lived in Wethersfield and Manchester all of his life. Frank joined his father at Nielsen Tool & Die after high school, and remained there until he retired 48 years later as the senior planner for the company. Frank served in the Army Reserve in the Support Company 76th Division 1964-1970. Camping was his favorite activity. He enjoyed all the friends that he had made throughout the years, especially at Charlie Brown Campground in Chaplin. Frank was a loving husband and father and a great friend. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his daughter Marilyn Della Rocco, his daughter Andrea Combs and her husband Randy and their two daughters Jessica and Danielle Combs and his son David Della Rocco and his wife Sara Marceau Della Rocco, his sister Marilyn Cassarino and several nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (January 27th) at 11 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in Hillstown Road Cemetery, Manchester.
