Rita Mae Butler Anderson 80, Born in Rockville, CT on May 7, 1932 passed into God's loving arms on September 5, 2012. Rita was a volunteer at Manchester Memorial Hospital in the Women's Auxiliary, an avid knitter and artist. Rita enjoyed music and was always singing. Rita loved to travel, and with her husband Donald, visited many countries around the world. She loved learning about and experiencing new cultures. Most of all Rita loved children, especially babies, and she was wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and great aunt. Rita was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald K. Anderson and a daughter in law, Carol Hokanson Anderson, her mother and father, Josephine Butler and Francis Butler, her sister Isabelle Krumm, brother Raymond Butler, sister in law Josephine Butler and brother in law David Luginbhul. She is survived by her four children, Alan B. Anderson and his wife Maureen (Reeves) Anderson, of Coventry CT, Cheryl Magee and her husband Michael H. Magee, Esq. of Columbus, NJ, David Anderson, of Manchester, CT and Burton Anderson and his wife Raeleen Benjamin, of Glastonbury, CT. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Julie Anderson Kamp and her husband Josh Kamp, Sherri Anderson, Katie Magee, Esq. and fiancé Edwin Lee, Jr., Shannon Sales, Miles Magee and his wife Molly(Gerber) Magee, Amanda Magee, Dillion Anderson and Alison Magee, and her two great grandchildren, Carolyn Jean Kamp & Brenton Sales. Rita is also survived by her brother, Henry F. Butler, of Rockville, CT and her sister, Lillian Luginbhul of Ellington, CT and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 9:15 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester, CT 06040.
