I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Rita's passing. I am reminded now as I was as a little girl, how fancy I always thought she was. Her Christmas cards tracked me down, no matter where I lived. She always asked about my husband, Tim, and boys, Colin and Tyler by name. My deepest sympathy. Love, Joann

Since my husband had the stroke, Rita would call me on the phone . She knew we could not travel. One day, she told
me about her stint as a student of nursing at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The place was run by the Sisters of Providence.
They meant business and their nurses studied very hard. Rita was no slouch- she aced everything and when things got
difficult, my Uncle, Dr Walence was a doctor there and he would study with her. This really helped and she excelled.
The nuns impressed with the young doctor who went to daily Mass in the chapel , were upset that this lovely blonde
Student nurse was occupying time with Dr. Walence. The way she explained it to me.- they told her to discontinue these
Meetings. They had to learn the hard way that Edmond, my uncle ,was Rita's first cousin and he was helping her
Study. She ended up going home and Uncle Ed said they lost a fantastic nurse. Babcia Walence and Jusza Butler were
Sisters. Fortunately Vatican 2 straightened the nuns out.

The older I get the more I believe you don't know what you've had till it's gone. I'll never forget every phone call ending with you saying "Love you", or the far fetched stories you'd tell or the strange remedies you'd come up with. I guess that's what made you, you. Our trip to Shady Glen with my Mom a few weeks ago where you said you didn't eat meat than ordered a cheese dog I'll treasure always. I don't have to tell you because you already know that I miss you and love you, Robin.

I am sorry to learn of your family sorrow. The death of a love done is difficult. If I may, I'd like to share scripture found in your Bible that may comfort you in some way. John 6:40 read...For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day. John 6:44 read...No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; and I will resurrect him in the last days. I hope you find comfort and peace in these scriptures.
