Joseph "Bernie" Boucher, 77, died on Friday,October 27th at his home in East Hartford. Bernie was the husband of Lorraine (Berthiaume) Boucher to whom he had been married for fifty-four years. Born in Madawaska, ME the son of Leopold and Beatrice (Duperry) Boucher he had lived in East Hartford for fifty years. Bernie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hartford and retired as a Graphic Designer for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was an accomplished and award- winning artist with his paintings having been shown at numerous venues throughout the east. His passion and dedication to the creative process and painterly technique was evident in each piece of artwork he created. His creativity extended to photography and gardening. Bernie is also survived by his son Philip L. Boucher and his wife Laura of Glastonbury and their children Stephen and Alex, his son Kenneth L. Boucher of East Hartford and his daughter Michelle A. Hovey and her husband Jonathan of Grafton, MA and their children Ethan and Matthew. Family and friends may call at the John F.
