Phyllis Rose Carrozza, age 72 of Manchester, CT passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital. Phyllis was married to her beloved husband Charles Carrozza for 53 yrs.,. Phyllis was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Nancy (Cappiello) Scibelli. She also was predeceased by two brothers. In addition to her husband, her daughters Phyllis Carrozza of Vernon, Nancy Carrozza of Manchester, and Christine Neary and her husband Gregory C. Neary, Jr. of East Hartford; and her grandchildren Kai Carrozza-Lutz, and Gregory, Sophia and Vincent Neary will also miss her dearly. She is also survived by her sister Elena Brewington of Staten Island, NY, her nephew and godson Adam Brewington and his son Sebastian; and loving niece and best friend Diane Blanchette along with several other loving nieces and nephews. The most important thing in her life was her family. A dedicated wife, mother and friend who loved with her whole heart, Phyllis cared, loved and fed anyone who needed it. She loved to cook and take care of people and made the best meatballs and spaghetti sauce, in addition to so many other things. Her door was always open and you never left her house hungry. She was kind yet straightforward, a rare gift that drew people to her. If you were her friend, you were her family. She was the life of the party and when she entered a room, you knew she was there. She was very funny, a natural entertainer. Her laugh was infectious. She was the center of her family, the one who brought everyone together, the sounding board, the buffer, the hugger and kisser. Words cannot describe... She was EVERYTHING and she will be dearly missed. Calling hours are on Friday, August 12th from 9:00-11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at the John F.
