Frances (Kearns) Bombard, 90, of Windham, died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Douglas Manor in Windham. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Tenczar) Kearns and had graduated from Manchester High School, class of 1944. She had worked at Barker's and Sage Allen department stores in Willimantic for many years and most recently worked in Food Service at the University of Connecticut Storrs campus. She enjoyed reading and in her younger years she loved bowling and was a member of several bowling teams. She is survived by her son, Clifford A. Bombard of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren Sean Bombard of Williamsburg, VA, Colin Bombard of Bournemouth, England, Patrick Bombard of Stafford Springs and Anna Bombard of Stafford Springs; her siblings Thomas Kearns of Goleta, CA and Julia (Kearns) Alton of Hemet, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Randall Bombard; her brothers Joseph Kearns, Leonard Kearns and Lawrence Kearns, Jr.; her sister Grace (Kearns) Arsenault; and her longtime companion Joseph Visintini. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John F.
