Falkowich died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Manchester. Born in Hartford, the son of Max P. and Anna (Wishinsky) Falkowich he had lived in East Hartford for most of his life. Peter was the former owner of Central CT Tile. He served in the US Navy, was a life member of the Andover Sportsmen Club and a former member of the Sons of Norway. Peter took great joy in his gardening, listening and dancing to polka music and a good glass of wine. He is survived by his daughter Nancy Silviera and her boyfriend Bob Betolatti of Brookfield, his son Kenneth Falkowich and his wife Beth of East Hartford; his grandchildren Jennifer Raulukaitis and her husband Mike, Dawn Bonafas and her husband Tim, Brian Silviera Jr. and Christine Silviera and his great grandchildren Aiden and Madison Raulukaitis and Cora and Donald Bonafas. Peter was also predeceased by his best friend Bill Whitaker. Funeral service will be held on Monday (August 1st) at 10:00am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with the Rev. James Parnell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00.
