Peter Joseph Marcue, 83 of Manchester, beloved husband of Carol M. (Uriano) Marcue, rode his John Deere into the sunset on Saturday July 23, 2016. Born in Waterville, ME on March 31, 1933 Peter was the sixth of seven children. He grew up in Moxie, Me until he ventured to Connecticut in 1955. It is here he started his family and began his career with the Ansaldi Company. Peter loved classic cars, tractors, old time country music, UCONN women's basketball and a good cup of coffee. The void of his physical presence will be deeply missed but his light hearted spirit and kind soul will forever remain with us. Peter was predeceased by his parents Peter and Stella; and his sisters Gwen, Leona and brother Blynn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters Pauline, Virginia and Clarice; his children Peter Marcue III and his partner Linda, Susan Stratton and her husband Steven, Donna Woodis and her husband Daniel, Trisha Maxwell and her husband Todd, Deborah Marcue and her partner Wally, and Sheri Boucher and her partner Dave; his grandchildren Sheila Then and her husband James, Stephanie Jakobowski, Selina Malloy and her husband Keith, Danielle Marcue, Peter Marcue IV and Raymond Boucher; his great-grandchildren Jordan, Riley, Jakob, Odin and Banner; and 12 nieces and 23 great nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather with us for a celebration of life on Thursday July 28 from 4-7pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street Manchester, CT. Burial will be private.
