Obituary of Phyllis Lombardi

Phyllis Lombardi, 84, of Glastonbury, the wife of the late Paul Lombardi, Sr. died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Salmon Brook Center in Glastonbury. Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Jean Leo and had lived in Glastonbury for many years. Phyllis was a member of the Federated Women's Club of Glastonbury since 1970 where she chaired many committees and served as their corresponding secretary for many years. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Phyllis enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, gardening, boating and spending time at their cottage in Newburyport, MA. She was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Celtics, as well as UConn Basketball. She is survived by her sons, Paul Lombardi, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Bolton, and Philip Lombardi of Bloomfield; her nieces and nephews, Brian Lombardi and wife Marjorie of Brockton, MA, Tom Lombardi and wife Ann Marie of Newbury, NH, and Mary Simms and husband Michael of Braintree, MA and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held at John F Tierney Funeral Home 219 W Center St, Manchester, CT on Saturday July 16 from 10 AM to 12:00.
