Obituary of John D. Rockefeller

John D. Rockefeller, 64, of Manchester, the husband of the late Sharon Rockefeller, died on Tuesday, June 28th at Hartford Hospital. John was born in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late John and Sadie Rockefeller and had lived in Manchester for many years.

He served in the US Army and was formerly employed at the X-Cello Co. For the past thirty-five years John had suffered with a mental disability.

He is survived by his brother Joseph Rockefeller of Mansfield Center and his sister Mildred Hollis and his niece Anna Marie of Ohio; his god mother Florann Sharka and several cousins.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8th at 9:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption 28 Adams St. South, Manchester at 10:00 with burial in St. James cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday (7/7) from 6:00 - 8:00.
