Obituary of Rose Lumbruno

Rose Lumbruno, 99, the wife of the late Anthony F. Lumbruno died on Tuesday (April 12, 2016) at her home in Manchester. Rose was the daughter of Mariano and Angeline (Chariamonte) Mistretta. An active member in the community, she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a member of the Luna Club of Hartford and Mother's Circle. She was an avid bowler and golfer and a fan of UCONN women's basketball and the NY Yankees. Rose is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Angela and Ken Wandzy of Ellington, her son Peter Lumbruno of Manchester, eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law June Lombardo and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son Anthony Lumbruno, her sisters Jennie Trivigno, Mary Aparo and Angeline Diana Lamphere and her brothers James and Joseph Mistretta. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (4/20) at 11:00 at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in Rose's name, may be made to either the Care for Me at Home 435 Chapel Rd.
