Barbara M. Carlin, 89, of Windham, the wife of the late John F. Carlin, Sr. died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Douglas Manor, Windham. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Stella (Zelienski) Gozdz. She is survived by her children, William Carlin and his wife Margaret of Statesville, NC, Gary Carlin and his significant other Diane Smith of South Windsor, Anna Brown and her husband Ted of Lebanon; her son-in-law Elmer Taylor, Jr. of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Margaret Machie of Coventry, Carol Drew and her husband John of South Carolina, and Sandy Brault of Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her children Patricia Taylor and John F. Carlin, Jr. and her daughter-in-law Deborah Carlin. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (March 24th) at 10:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
