Obituary of Arthur J. Rivard

Arthur J. "Art" Rivard, 69, of Manchester, the partner of 44 years to Sallyann L. Pavan, died Thursday March 10, 2016, at Riverside Health Care Center, East Hartford. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Glen and Mary (Hayes) Rivard. He had served in the US Army National Guard. Art was a Manager at Crispino's for many years, later owned and operated Olcott Package Store and was involved in several other business ventures over the years. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed hunting, was a respected skeet shooter in the region and was a member of the Hartford Gun Club. Besides his partner, Sally, he is survived by his stepson Todd L. Pavan of Manchester, his granddaughter Taylor Pavan; and his sister Lynn Frazier, her husband and their 2 children. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18th, at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
