Uncle Lionel would always ask why is it you park your car in a driveway and then you drive your car on a parkway??
Another one was when I called him to ask when his sisters would be leaving to come to my house he said...wait a minute - checking the frig, almost empty, checking the cabinets, empty...checking the freezer...empty...pause then he said "They should be there in about 1 hour and a half". Totally caught me off guard when I just started laughing out loud... too funny ...

Uncle Lionel loved teasing us as young nieces and nephews. The story I remember is of him telling my brother, David: "David, do you remember pulling that car out of the snow bank last July 4th? We really had to push hard to get it out, didn't we?" You had to be on your toes. I know northern Maine has a lot of snow, but never in all the years I lived there did we have snow on July 4th!

To Lionel's Wonderful Family: Some we know, some we have not met but feel we know and that is because of Lionel and Lucille. Lionel was a blessing to our family. He was a wonderful man and neighbor. A Gental Giant, Big Teddy Bear, our memories of him are of laughter and kindness..........We miss him terribly. Although we moved away, we remained very close and we, along with the world will miss this marvelous man. We are so very sorry for your loss. We love you....
