Obituary of Jane Puglise
Jane (Mayer) Puglise, 80, of Manchester, beloved wife of William J. Puglise passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Port Chester, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Grace (Conner) Mayer. She had retired as a Supervisor from the Traveler's Insurance Company after more than 30 years of service. In her retirement, she was an antique dealer and was a former co-owner of "Then & Now Antiques" in Manchester and was also active with her condo association. Jane was a very giving person who had a great zest for life and always did her best to help those around her. She was also an avid gardener and animal lover. Besides her husband, she is survived by her nieces and nephews Karen Snyder and her husband Robert of Manchester, Frank Kirchhof and his wife Patricia of Broad Brook, Susan Kirchhof of Broad Brook, Mary Jane Kirchhof of Broad Brook, Anthony Salamone and his wife Martha of Hebron, and Roseanne Misischia and her husband Joseph of Agawam, MA; her longtime friends Nancy O'Connor of East Hartford and Cynthia King of Manchester; and numerous other relatives and friends; and her beloved animals, her dog Poppy, and cats Chi-Chi and Lily. She was predeceased by her sister Susan Mathiau. Funeral service will be held on Friday (March 4th) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester, CT, followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield.
