Jon S. Olechno, 66, of Manchester passed away at home on Friday, February 12th, 2016. His final wish, to pass at home was made possible by the care and dedication to his comfort by his friends John "Jack" McCartan, Carol Carter, his ex-wife Cheryl Dias and by Masonicare. He was born in Bogno, Poland May 15th, 1949. Arriving in this country in 1962, he was very proud of his service to the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969-1971. He recently retired from Capewell Components of South Windsor, CT. Survivors include his children; daughter Nicole (Olechno) Henry, her husband Keith and their son Colton from Saugatuck, Michigan; daughter Alexis Olechno and her son Landon of Manchester; and son Jon-Austin Olechno also of Manchester. Jon was predeceased by his wonderful parents Alfons Olechno and Stefanja (Zubski) Olechno. A wake will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester from 9-11 a.m. Burial of his ashes immediately following at St. James Cemetery 360 Broad St. Manchester.
