Edward F. DelSignore, 75, of Bolton, husband of Eileen (McGuire) DelSignore peacefully passed away on Thursday February 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Providence, RI the son of the late Filiberto and Maddalena (Napoleoni) DelSignore. Edward received his Bachelor's Degree from the University Rhode Island and Master's from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in Hartford. He made his career as an Engineer, in Customer Support and Management at Pratt & Whitney/IAE/UTC for 35 years before retiring in 1996. Edward was a former Knight of Columbus, member of the Bolton Republican Town Committee, chairman of the Building Committee for Bentley Memorial Library, chairperson of Building and Grounds Committee for St. James Church Parish Council. Ed was a passionate fan of UCONN Women's Basketball, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed reading, computers and summers vacationing at Sagamore Beach, MA. Besides his wife, Edward is survived by his children and grandchildren Christine E. DelSignore and her children Stephen and Benjamen Gluhosky; Christopher E. DelSignore and his wife Sharon and their children Grace, Katherine, Nicholas and Sarah; Carolynn E. DelSignore and his grand-dog Yury; and Charles E. DelSignore and his wife Lara and their children Charles Jr. and Chase; his sister Adrianna DiNitto and her husband Italo; his nieces Lisa DiNitto and Claudia Spada and numerous cousins. The DelSignore family is grateful for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Ed this past week by the nurses, staff and doctors in the ICU at Manchester Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (February 9th) at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
