To The Waitkus Family, I first met and worked with Jim in 1978 at Bradley Int. Airport. Jim was always a fun guy to work with. His passion was cruising with the guys to Block Island and "relaxing" on my boat along the CT River. On holidays he enjoyed coming to our house for dinners and Super Bowl Sundays. We know that the last year through our frequent visits, was very hard for Jim during his illness. We will miss him very dearly, but as a true friend he will never be forgotten. May God be with you Jim. Pete & Lucy

Dear family and friends of Jim Waitkus, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Jim at the New Britain court house and he and I got along very well. As a retired police officer (in New Britain), we had a common bond. I know he loved his family and would talk about his children to me. I always went to him for beach advice and teased him about being one of the original beach boys. Sincere condolences Howard John Begley, Jr. Kensington CT

I too, was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He and I worked together on the State Police. He was proud to have served in law enforcement because he had a genuine concern for people. Fortunately, he and I spoke a short time ago and reminisced about the "good old days". May he rest in peace.
