Obituary of Helen Garde

Helen B. Garde, 83, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Worthington Manor in East Berlin. Helen was a very special and intense lady with a strong personality and a caring heart. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Katherine Bakulski. She was formerly employed in the tax department in the Town of Manchester and had retired from Cigna Insurance Company as a Medical Claims Supervisor after many years of service. Helen was also active sponsor of Fidelco Guide Dog Association for many years. She is survived by her children Kimberlee Pelletier and her husband Normand of Burlington, Pamela Garde of Newington, and Ronald T. Garde Jr. and his wife Caroline of West Hartford; and her grandchildren, Joshua and Sara Pelletier, and Helen and Kerry Garde. She is also survived by her sister Mary McNeill of South Yarmouth, MA; and sisters-in-law Barbara Bakulski and Irene Bakulski; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of many years Ronald T. Garde Sr. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St., Manchester followed by burial in St. Bridget Cemetery, Manchester.
