Obituary of Frederic Tozzoli
Frederic P. Tozzoli, 80, of East Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 20, 2015 in New Hampshire. Fred was born November 23, 1935 in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of the late Nicholas and Augusta (Gross) Tozzoli. Fred grew up in Hartford and graduated from Weaver High School in 1953.
Fred entered the US Army in 1958 and was stationed in Korea during his service. He worked in sales and advertising and the US Postal Service, where he retired after many years of service.
Fred was an avid bowler all of his life. He played in hundreds of leagues, bowled several perfect 300 games and made many friends at the local allies. He became a Silver-certified USBC bowling coach and loved to help people improve their skills.
Fred was a member of the Freemasons, Manchester Lodge #73, the Sphinx Shrine Center in Newington and the Omar Shrine Club of Manchester. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Nichole and Ken Ayotte of Newmarket, NH, his son Frank Tozzoli of Bolton, CT and is predeceased by his sister Grayce (Tozzoli) Fishbein of East Longmeadow MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester on Saturday (January 9th) from 3:00-7:00 pm. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. immediately followed by military honors.
