Obituary of Kathleen Scully

Kathleen A. Scully (McDermott) left this world surrounded by her family on Friday, December 11, 2015 after 88 years of life. Kathleen was born on September 7, 1927 in Waterbury, CT to the late Frederick and Agnes McDermott. Predeceased by her loving husband William T. Scully, Kathleen was blessed to have a marriage of over 60 years and was a life-long resident of Connecticut. Over the years, they enjoyed traveling to many places, visiting their cottage in Massachusetts, and continued to take day trips well into their 80's. As a Registered Nurse, Kathleen was also a graduate of Saint Mary's in Waterbury and enjoyed yearly gatherings with other alumni. Kathleen is survived by her children Jeffery Scully and his wife Maureen of Rangely Plantation, ME and Kathleen Howe of Manchester, CT. Kathleen leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Amanda Howe, with her fiancé Scott Anderson and Kristen McLaughlin, her husband Scott and their children Alexis and Aria who will miss their "Gigi" greatly. Calling hours for family and friends will be held at 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Assumption at 11:00 a.m. and burial at Hillstown Cemetery to follow. Please join us in remembering the life of Kathleen A.
