Obituary of Annamay Potocki

Annamay Potocki, 92, the wife of the late Theodore "Ted" Potocki, passed away at her home in Manchester on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late William and Julia (O'Keefe) Jolie of Wethersfield, she was a longtime resident of Manchester. After graduating from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing, she received her BS Degree in Public Health Nursing at UCONN. As a student she and her class were involved in the notorious Hartford Circus Fire in 1944. She retired in 1997 after working in several nursing capacities including, hospital, school, private duty, public health and convalescent homes. Annamay is survived by her daughter Bonniemay Potocki and her son Harold Potocki both of Manchester. She was predeceased by a sister Dena O'Mara and brother Arthur Jolie, Sr.

Annamay was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a past president of the Ladies Guild of the Church of Assumption and past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella St. Margaret Circle. She was also an active volunteer for the Manchester Area Conference of Churches and a Red Cross Volunteer Nurse. Annamay's family would like to provide a special note of thanks to her care manager Lori Riley and her aides Luz, Robin, and Sharon.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15th at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Adams St. South, followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, December 14th, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
