Obituary of Thomas E. Caputo
Thomas E. Caputo, 62, of Columbia and Lodi, NJ, died suddenly on Thursday, November 26, 2015.
Thomas was born on June 14, 1953, and raised in Union City, NJ. A graduate of Boston College, he pursued a career as a software specialist in the State Government of Connecticut, the American Broadcasting Company, and most recently, Verizon.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph A. Caputo and Florence (Greiner) Caputo, as well as his brother Joseph A. Caputo, Jr., brother-in-law Vincent Savage, and sister-in-law Susan Agostinelli.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Deborah (Agostinelli) Caputo, of Columbia, CT, and the devoted father to Douglas Caputo, of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by loving sister Florence (Caputo) Savage of Edgewater, NJ, his dearest father-in-law Henry Agostinelli and wife Adua of Manchester, CT, beloved mother-in-law Maxine (Holmes) Manfreda of Glastonbury, CT, cherished brother-in-law Matthew Manfreda and wife Tina of Windham, CT, as well as many relatives, friends, and co-workers.
He was a reserved and extremely gentle soul of few words. When he did speak, those around him were sure to listen and absorb every word, as being in the same room as Thomas was always an enlightening experience. He was continuously imparting his wisdom and knowledge amongst his peers and loved ones. Thomas' wit and dry humor always helped to lighten everybody's troubles, big and small.
