Cecile F. Daley, 89, of East Hartford the wife of 48 years to the late William K. Daley died Monday (April 9, 2012) at her home. Born in South Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Cecelia (Lynch) Malone. She had worked at Pratt & Whitney for 10 years, and for the State of Connecticut for 35, the last 25 of which were with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Cecile was a life member of the St. Francis Hospital Women's Auxiliary and was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. She is survived by her son William K. Daley II and his wife Joan of Manchester, her daughter Kerry Anne Daley and her partner Andrew Murray of London, England; her grandchildren Thomas A. Daley and William K. Daley III of Manchester; and her great-grandsons Aaron T. Daley of Manchester, and Logan P. Daley of South Windsor. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her siblings Alfred T. Malone, Thomas Malone and Eleanor Malone. Funeral service will be held on Saturday (April 14th) at 9:30 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church 15 East Millbrook Drive East Hartford, CT followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford.
