John A. Cagianello, 89, of Manchester, the husband of the late Rose (Modugno) Cagianello and Evelyn (Curley) Cagianello, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Lawrence and Mary (Petrocelli) Cagianello. John made his career as an insurance agent both independently and for Metropolitan Life and also as a Real Estate Agent for Reale Century 21. He was a veteran of the United States Army. John was an original member of the Manchester chapter of UNICO National and a past Exalted Ruler of Manchester BPOE 1893. He is survived by his children Joanne Cagianello Bozadjian of Cromwell, Larry Cagianello of Rocky Hill and Theresa Cagianello of Essex; his grandchildren Emily Cagianello, Lauren Rothschild and her husband Justin, and Erin Cagianello; his great-grandson Ethan Rothschild; his sister Lorraine Harris of Stuart, FL; a dear friend Anna Mercure and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Kathryn Messier Cagianello and his sister Dolores Paganetti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20th, at St. Bartholomew Church, 736 Middle Turnpike, Manchester, CT 06040, at 12:30 p.m., followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford.
