Eileen Patricia "Pat" (Long) Heneghan, 94, of West Hartford, the beloved wife of the late John J. Heneghan died November 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was born February 20, 1921; the loving daughter of the late James T. and Bessie (Scanlon) Long. Pat was raised in Hartford and has lived in West Hartford over fifty years. She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing and worked there for 44 years. During WWII Pat served as a Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp both in the Pacific and the Occupation of Japan. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Thomas B. and James P. Long. Pat is survived by her cousins, Nancy Kennedy, Mary Reynolds both of West Hartford, Irene Harvey and her husband Ken of Farmington, several close neighbors, friends and cousins in Ireland. She also leaves behind a devoted friend and caregiver, Daniel R. Troiano and his family of South Windsor. Funeral services will be Monday, (Nov. 9, 2015) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt St Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. At her request there are no calling hours.
