Obituary of Nikolaos Diakolambrianos
Nikolaos Diakolambrianos, 55, of Manchester, died Monday October 19th at his home. Born in Soroni Rhodes, Greece he was the son of the late Ioanis Diakolambrianos and Miranda (Diakonikolas) Diakolambrianos of Greece. Nikolaos immigrated from Greece to the United States in 1967. He lived in Hartford and East Hartford, graduating from East Hartford High School. He was the owner/operator of Greenfield Pizza in Greenfield, MA and also Scordelli's in Turner Falls, MA. Nikolaos had a passion for flying and building RC planes and helicopters. Besides his mother, Nikolaos is survived by his son Ioanis Diakolambrianos of Greenfield, MA and his daughter Eleni Diakolambrianos of Turner Falls, MA; his brother Lambros Diakolambrianos of Glastonbury; 4 nephews, a niece, many grand nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his sister Maria Boniatis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 21st at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114 with Dr. George Zugravu officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, TODAY, October 20th, from 5:00-8:00p.m. The Trisagio Service will be held at 5:15p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
