Obituary of Roger Perreault
Roger Cleo Perreault, 100, of South Windsor, Connecticut, passed away on October 5, 2015.
Roger was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on May 8, 1915 to his parents Eugenie and Ludger Perreault. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester, Connecticut.
Roger was married to Maria Spirito on November 4, 1950; they were married nearly 65 years.
Roger enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1942. He proudly served as a radio man in the China-Burma-India Theater. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Following his return to civilian life, he joined Pratt and Whitney Machine Tool Company. In 1955, he joined Mal Tool and Engineering Company where he held various positions until his retirement in 1977. At that time he was the Estimating Manager for all of Mal Tool's Divisions.
He enjoyed golf, music, woodworking, maintaining his home in Manchester, CT and visiting with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. In his younger years, he played the alto saxophone in a Big Band that had engagements in the Manchester, New Hampshire area.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Maria of South Windsor, CT; daughter, Lisa Ireland of Pebble Beach, California and son-in-law, Melville H. Ireland, Jr. of Tallahassee, Florida. He was a wonderful "Pop-Pop" to three grandchildren; Jennifer, Taylor Ireland, William Livingston Ireland and Peter Melville Ireland. He leaves many nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his beloved brothers Henry and Robert, his sister, Gillian Ladouceur, and many in-laws.
A memorial service will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, Connecticut on October 21, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
