She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption in Manchester. Trudi was born on July 8, 1933. She grew up in Glastonbury, CT attending and graduating from East Hartford Public Schools. She and her mother moved from Glastonbury to Manchester sometime after the death of her father in 1953. She worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Federal Credit Union as a secretary to a department head from 1956 until at least sometime in the 1960s. She was a secretary for Frid, Ferguson and Mahaffey Architects and the David E. Woodard Architecture Office during her working career. Trudi was also a paralegal for Rogin, Nassau, Caplan, Lassman and Hirtle in Hartford. In her later working career, she worked at the Wadsworth Anthenaeum in Hartford. She was very knowledgeable in furniture types, history and nature. Trudi loved attending concerts at Tanglewood and went to them for many years. She was well read and owned many books on many subjects, architecture being one of her favorites. She enjoyed cooking and trying new creations. Trudi made wonderful Christmas cookies that she gave away to her many friends. She was a wonderful seamstress, making clothing and curtains, and she enjoyed making handmade items for birthday and Christmas presents for her friends. Trudi was an avid sports minded person. She followed the UCONN Women's Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. Trudi loved the ocean and had a summer home in Harwichport on the Cape where she enjoyed many summers with her friends there. She was a gentle soul who loved seashells, nature, feeding the birds, enjoying flowers and trees and other animals and hiking in the woods at Gay City until later years.
