Over the years, Bob drove a tractor trailer for many companies including, Finast, Shamrock, and Domino's and finally retiring from Fleming in Suffield. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Savannah, Georgia. Bob's biggest passion was golf. He was a member of Tallwood Country Club Men's Club for 35 years, where he won (a Flight) Championship, President's Cup and Most Improved Golfer. Over the years he also belonged to Topstone Golf Course, Rolling Meadows in Ellington, Goodwin in Hartford, and Blackledge in Hebron. He also belonged to the Men's Senior league at Long Hill Golf Course in East Hartford. For years he was a member of the Central Connecticut Golfer's Association. He had played with Joe Hamilton (Carol Burnett's ex-husband) in Kaanapli, Hawaii. He had been written up for four holes in one. Bob's biggest thrill was receiving an application to play in the British Open, which unfortunately wasn't able to do. He was also a lifetime member of the PGA Partners Club. He leaves behind his wonderful pal, his cat Pattie Victoria. Oh how her loved her. The family he leaves behind is his sister Maryann Chapman of Pennsylvania; his two brothers Leo Anderson and his wife Doris of Coventry and Donald Anderson of Panama City, FL.; his stepson Herbert E. For many years at Christmas Bob portrayed Santa Claus much to the delight of the children and adults. Most of all he leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Gail, whom he cried with, laughed with and drove her crazy.
