Rocco Lupacchino, 95, of Manchester, the husband of the late Sarah (Falcetta) Lupacchino died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at his home. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Raphael and Antoinette (Cangi) Lupacchino. He attended Howell Cheney Tech and was a U.S Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Rocco retired as a Production Engineer from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after many years of service. He was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a member of the Army/Navy Club and the V.F.W. Post 2046. He was also an avid duckpin bowler, New York Yankees fan, and member of the Manchester Revolver Club, Metropolitan League, where he had served as treasurer and on their board of directors. He is survived by his daughters Barbara Sycz and her husband Walter of Newington, and Delia Skrainski and her husband John of Bolton; his granddaughter Alicia Marie Sycz of Virginia; his dearest companion Jeanne Farrell; his sister Frances Gagnon of Manchester and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Rocco was predeceased by several siblings and extended family members. Rocco's family would like to offer a special note of thanks to Dr. Wan, his nurse Mary, and all of his caregivers, especially Carol, Harriet and Cheryl. Funeral service will be held on Monday (September 28th) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption 29 Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial with military honors in St. James Cemetery, Broad St. Manchester.
