Obituary of Joseph P. Rossetto

Joseph P. Rossetto, 51, of Denver, CO, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015, with his sister, Carol, at his side following a short, courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Manchester, CT, he was the son of Claire Rossetto and the late Paul Rossetto. He leaves behind his sister, Carol Rossetto, and her partner, John Blondel, of New York, NY, his brother, David Rossetto, and his partner, Erika Swanson, of Mystic, CT as well as his nephew, Jack Blondel of New York, NY. As a teenager, Joe was an avid bowler and town champion for duckpin bowling. He also had a knack for writing and producing his own TV shows and old time movies. He developed the sets, gathered, and directed local neighbors to act and filmed his masterpieces. Joe graduated from Manchester High School in 1981. Eager to live in a warm climate, he moved to Tampa, FL in 1989 where he enjoyed photography and coastal living. In 2007, he decided to start a new adventure. He relocated to Denver. A brilliant computer software engineer, Joe founded and led a computer consulting company, JR Software Group. The Colorado Rocky Mountains inspired him to continue photography and venture out on many hikes with his beloved ten year old dog, Sneakers. Sneakers, devoted to Joe, lay by his side in his final days. Ironically, Sneakers joined Joe in heaven three hours after Joe's departure. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Porter Hospice Foundation; Porter Hospice, 1391 Speer Boulevard, Suite 600, Denver, CO 80204. The calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 20th at John F.
